On February 14th, The OutCenter hosted a presentation by Nicole Woolsley, a Foster Care Licensing Specialist with Berrien Country DHHS.
Nicole said,"I feel like children in foster care share so much in common with the LGBTQ community. Both often feel misunderstood. Both often feel alone. Both can feel scared. I felt honored to share, with such an amazing group on Valentine's Day, the huge need for foster and adoptive homes to help these children. With over 350 foster children, right here in Berrien County, and less than 70 foster homes to serve them, the need is greater than ever before."
