LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equity Project

What we're working on.

LGBTQ+ Competent Healthcare and Patient Safety Project is a collaborative project funded in part by United Way of Southwest Michigan. The collaborating partners are OutCenter Southwest Michigan and MiGEN (a state-wide organization working to bring equity to the lives of LGBTQ+ elders).

This project was developed to address the healthcare disparities experienced by LGBTQ+ people living in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. It accomplishes this by providing in-depth and comprehensive consultations and workshops that increase the capacity of healthcare people and practices to better reach and more equitably respond to the needs of this population.

If you are interested in learning more about the project or services and support provided to healthcare workers and practices, please email us at info@outcenter.org.
