Thank you for attending our event at Granor Farm.
When we planned this event a year ago with the amazing Anna Rafalski and the Granor Farm team, we never imagined it would come on the heels of this year’s election outcome. And yet, it was exactly the evening we needed as an organization in the company of such an amazing and resilient community.
We watched in quiet observation - and in awe, to be honest - as folks met new people, caught up with friends, the room filled with laughter, even joy, and we saw furrowed and intent brows. We watched as we all began to resurface over the despair many felt just hours before.
And we connected with each other as we celebrated our humanity and joy about what we are truly capable of when it comes to the power of community and our movement - especially in this moment.
We all stand on the shoulders of giants, our peers and predecessors in the LGBTQ+ fight, we know that we are not alone as we work together across our communities, counties, State, and the nation. And we know we will not cease in this work.
Know, too, that OutCenter Southwest Michigan will continue our work with you and thousands more across our area to keep our schools safe, our communities true, and our rights and dignity protected.
Upwards and onwards!
