Post-Election Resources: Skill-Based Materials on Conflict Resolution, Mutual Aid, and More

As an organization, it’s our goal to provide resources to our community that help make sense of our post-election political world. We want to share two resources that are specifically about helping organizations and individuals maintain safe and welcoming environments.

1) Skill-Based Training Modules from Choose Democracy (whatiftrumpwins.org): These resources help you understand key strategies like establishing mutual aid, how to protest safely, how to carry out de-escalation interventions, and more.

2) “10 Ways to Be Prepared and Grounded” (wagingnonviolence.org): In this article, Daniel Hunter provides ten helpful tools to prevent autocratic fear, isolation, exhaustion, and disorientation.

The struggle for civil rights has endured both high and low points. Though we may expect resistance to our cause in our current political era, we stand alongside our activist forebears, unifying together for the sake of equity, justice, and making the world a brighter place.
